Trump Administration To Propose Plan To Reduce Drug Costs Under Medicare Part D.

 The AP  (2/9, Alonso-Zaldivar, Perrone) reports that the Trump Administration plans to propose a plan to lower “prescription drug costs for Medicare beneficiaries by allowing them to share in rebates that drug companies pay to insurers and middlemen, an administration official said.” Under the proposal, the AP explains, the rebates paid by pharmaceutical companies to insurers and pharmacy benefit managers would be shared with seniors covered under Medicare’s Part D benefits.
