The AP  (6/23, Bollag) reported California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D) shelved a bill that would create a single-payer healthcare system in the state calling it “woefully incomplete.” Rendon said in a statement that even legislators who had voted for the bill “noted there are potentially fatal flaws in the bill.”
